Bible Famine

How many times have we sat in church when the preacher or teacher said, "Turn in your Bibles to...", and without thinking, we grab our Bible and turn there?

103.3FM WCRF has recently been raising money to send Bibles to Africa to meet the need of what's been called the 'Bible Famine'. The need is humongous. They've been sharing stories of thousands of believers who don't have their own copy of the Bible. They don't have the opportunity to study the Bible at home.

1 Samuel 3:1 says, "...And the word of the LORD was precious in those days..." During this time in history, people didn't have a copy of God's Word, and it became precious to them. This is the case in Africa - the lack of God's Word is making it very precious. In America, it has become common and been taken for granted.
