Ant or Slug?!

Last night, we continued our study in Proverbs by talking about laziness. In a brief survey, we discovered that the place teens struggle with being lazy the most is at home…cleaning, snoozing, etc.

Proverbs 6:6-11 says, "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man."

Let’s follow the example of the ant at home. Establish good habits there, so that when we face the world, we’ll be up for the challenges it throws at us. By the way, this morning was a 1-snooze-button-morning for me instead of 2!!! …maybe tomorrow morning will be a zero-snooze!
